I am Jarkko, Information Processing Science Master's student and a web developer

About me

I am Jarkko Tuovinen. I love technology, especially web and mobile related stuff. I am always eager to jump into new interesting projects and businesses.

When I am not doing something with technology I do sports, watch movies and read.

One of my passions is travelling around the World.

I also love coffee.

My skills

Web development

I have done web development since I was a kid. At first I got familiar with HTML and CSS, then Javascript and I have used for example jQuery, NodeJS and AngularJS. At the moment I am interested in React.

Desktop development

Mostly I have programmed with Java. I used even Java Swing for user interface programming course in University of Oulu. C and C++ are other languages that I have used in University.

Mobile development

I have made some apps for Android in University courses. I am also getting familiar with iOS(objective-c,swift) after I bought the developer kit in October 2014 and now my first app is waiting for Apple's approval to get it into Appstore. Other

I have gained a plethora of other skills as a student in University of Oulu. I was also a board member of OuluSES in 2012. OuluSES is a society for entrepreneurship-minded students.

I was a freelance developer for kiiltomato.net fall 2014
Technologies I used were: html, css, php, wordpress.

kiiltomato.net is a web based book critic site

ouluses.com

I took part in developing new pages for OuluSES.
Nowadays the pages look a bit different.

OuluSES is a society for entrepreneur-minded students
